Getting Started · Private beta
Set your direction.
Build your company context.
A practical guide to accepting your invitation, completing setup and understanding what to review first.
Before you begin
This guide covers private-beta invitation acceptance, the four company-context steps and your first review of the workspace. Have these details ready:
- The email address used for your CapHatch invitation.
- A Primary objective and Target timeframe.
- Your company name, description, primary industry and business model.
- A description of what is making progress difficult right now.
Your website, current evidence and longer-term direction are optional in the setup flow. Current and target market selections can be left empty when they do not apply.
Beta access is by invitation. This help page does not create an account. New access requests go to the CapHatch team; existing users can sign in to their workspace.
Accept your invitation
- Open the CapHatch invitation from your email. The invitation establishes the session needed for acceptance; opening the acceptance page directly is not a substitute.
- On Set your CapHatch password, enter and confirm a new password. The form currently requires at least eight characters.
- Read the Private Beta Terms and Privacy Notice linked in the form, then complete the acknowledgement.
- Select Accept invitation and follow the setup flow. If you already have an account, use Sign in instead.
If the invitation does not open successfully, contact team@caphatch.com for help. Do not send your password or forward the invitation link in a support message.
01 / Set the primary objective
The first setup screen asks: What are you trying to accomplish right now? Enter a Primary objective and a Target timeframe, then select Continue. Both fields are required.
Example objective
Enter the US market and secure our first three enterprise customers.
Example timeframe
Next 90 days
02 / Describe the company
On Tell us about the company., complete the company name, description, primary industry and business model. Select the appropriate Stage / maturity: Early stage, Growing or Established. The website field is optional.
Keep the market fields distinct:
- HQ or home market describes your company’s base.
- Where are you operating today? records current markets. Leave it empty if you are not operating in a market yet.
- Where are you planning to grow? records target markets. Leave it empty if there is no expansion target yet.
- Your US position appears when the US is relevant to the company’s context.
Current and target markets use separate selections. Select Continue to save this stage and move forward.
Recording a market supplies company context. It does not, by itself, activate complete country research or human operator services.
03 / Record evidence and obstacles
The next screen asks: What evidence do you already have? Use the optional Current evidence field for observations related to the objective, such as customers, pilots, usage, revenue or partnerships.
Complete What is making this difficult right now? This field is required. Select any Important constraints that apply; additional detail for an Other constraint is optional. Then select Continue.
Describe the information you actually have. The setup flow does not ask you to enter authoritative TAM, SAM or SOM estimates.
04 / Add direction and save
The last step asks: Where are you ultimately trying to take the company? Add a Longer-term direction, or leave this optional field empty.
Use Back to revisit an earlier step. Select Save company context to finish first-time setup. When editing an existing setup, the final action is labelled Save changes.
If saving reports an error, read the message and retry the affected step. A partial-save message identifies what was saved and what still needs attention; do not assume all setup data failed.
Make your first workspace review
In the Command Center, review the recorded objective and the available company context. Address requests to complete or confirm information. A missing value or an empty research section is not a zero or proof that there is nothing to do.

Open Plan to review the current objective, assumptions and associated work when available. A plan may still need context or clarification. In Actions, add current work against the primary objective; recommended work appears only when it exists in the current plan.
For the broader workflow descriptions, see Features & Workflows. No calendar connection, bank feed or automatic sales activity is required by these setup instructions.
If you get stuck
Why is Continue unavailable?
Check the required inputs for the current screen: objective and timeframe; company name, description, industry and business model; or the current obstacle. Continue is also unavailable while a save is processing.
What if I forgot my password?
Open Reset your password, enter the email you use for CapHatch and select Send reset instructions. Follow the received instructions. If a reset link is invalid or expired, request a new one. Delivery issues should be raised with the team.
What if a setup step cannot be saved?
Use the specific message shown by the app. Some errors identify a saved company but an unsaved industry, market, objective or evidence record. Retry the indicated step. If the issue continues, share the screen name and exact error text with support, without passwords, invitation links or confidential documents.
Why is there no complete plan or research yet?
The available view depends on the objective, company context and published research. Complete requested context rather than entering invented figures to populate the screen. Contact the team when you need help identifying the missing input.
Need help with your setup?
Send the screen name and error text. The team can help with access and the appropriate next step.
